Magda Garcia started her professional career as an entrepreneur where she successfully built and managed a variety of small businesses as well as leading and growing a strategic international real estate investment business.  

She built a worldwide network of shipping industry contacts, initially through family and friends, and her first professional role in shipping came as an intern with Frank Shipbrokers, where she progressed to become their London Representative in 2011. 

Born in São Paulo/Brazil, she has lived in London, Athens and New York. She speaks fluent Portuguese and English, as well as having good knowledge of Greek. Magda’s energetic and enthusiastic personality also won her an appointment as a director at a non-profit organization, SPNL (The Shipping professional Network In London) in 2011, where she fulfils her role and has shared responsibility for Membership. Magda is currently studying towards the ICS exams, which she expects to complete in the next few years.
